After nearly twenty-five years in IT and business analysis, I made a deliberate pivot: I wanted work that fed my love of language and helped authors bring their stories into the world. So I completed the copyediting certificate program at UC San Diego, took on manuscript projects on the side, and eventually launched Manuscript Maven full-time. I’ve since added specialized training in indexing and cookbook editing.
Outside of work, I’m usually reading, knitting, or cooking for family and friends. I also have a growing passion for genealogy — currently tracing my family’s roots back to the Revolutionary War and piecing together how and when my ancestors made their way to America. I dog sit for a handful of four-legged regulars, and I can often be found on my deck watching the birds and butterflies that visit my yard.
I live in Bloomington, Illinois, with my wonderful husband and our two brilliant kids.
